Garbe Industrial leases to shoe start-up in East Holstein
News 21/08/2025
Lensahn/Hamburg, 21 August 2025 – Garbe Industrial has leased a logistics space of around 11,600 square metres in Lensahn (East Holstein district, Germany) to the Kiel-based start-up Dieseo. The e-commerce company focuses on the marketing and distribution of comfortable shoes, among other things, and will use the new location for the storage and dispatch of its fashion items.
Behind the start-up Dieseo is the shoe brand ‘Pammys’, which is primarily known from social media and now has more than 700,000 customers. “Our dispatch warehouse in Kiel is no longer sufficient. As we continue to grow strongly and plan to expand our product range in the near future, we need to increase our capacity,” says Fatbardh Pakashtica, CEO at Dieseo. “Both the property and the location in Lensahn have convinced us.”
The logistics centre with a total area of approx. 23,400 square metres was completed at the end of 2023 and consists of two units. One of these has been assigned to Dieseo on a long-term basis. The other half is still available and is currently being marketed. “We are very pleased about the ESG lease concluded with Dieseo. With the letting of 50 per cent of the space, the project has reached an important milestone and the location concept is now being successfully implemented,” emphasises Tobias Roloff, Asset Manager at Garbe Industrial. “The location offers ideal conditions for companies seeking efficient logistics solutions. This is also reflected in the rental situation to date.”
Lensahn is located approximately 50 kilometres north of Lübeck and around 80 kilometres east of the federal state capital Kiel. The A1 motorway runs in the immediate vicinity of the logistics centre, connecting the site to the Fehmarn Sound Bridge in the north and to Hamburg in the south, continuing in its further course on to Bremen and the Ruhr region. The Lensahn junction is approximately 600 metres away and can be reached without driving through the town. The Fehmarnbelt tunnel between Puttgarden and the Danish island of Lolland is scheduled to open in 2029. This underground connection to Denmark will significantly shorten the journey time. “This will benefit the entire tunnel hinterland. That is why Garbe Industrial decided in favour of this location at an early stage,” says Tobias Roloff. According to the Asset Manager, the space still available in the new building is particularly suitable for logistics services due to its unrestricted 24/7 utilisation and offers potential for international trade with Scandinavia.
The property is equipped with 20 dock levellers and six sectional doors at ground level for loading and unloading lorries. A total of 44 car parking spaces are available in the outdoor area. A photovoltaic system with an output of 2.9 megawatts peak is installed on the roof. The new building is heated by means of a heat pump system, enabling the property to operate without the use of fossil fuels. The property is certified to the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council.
