Hamburg/Oberkrämer, 21 October 2025 – Garbe Industrial has leased additional space in the Oberkrämer logistics park (Oberhavel district), northwest of Berlin, to fulfilment service provider VAH Jager. The company, which already uses a 30,000-square-metre hall there, is expanding its capacity by an additional 10,000 square metres.
“With the new lease, one of the two logistics units that we added to the Oberkrämer hall – expanding it by a total of around 20,000 square metres in the final construction phase – is now occupied,” says Adrian Zellner, Member of the Garbe Industrial Executive Board. “This means that we have almost reached full occupancy at the site – only one unit with around 10,000 square metres of space is currently vacant.”
The property has 20 dock levellers and two sectional doors at ground level for loading and unloading trucks. It is part of the logistics park that Garbe Industrial has developed on a 146,000-square-metre site in the “Vehlefanz” industrial estate. In the first construction phase, a logistics centre with 15,000 square metres of warehouse space was built and leased to a logistics service provider. In the second phase, a logistics property with 30,000 square metres of warehouse space was built, which VAH Jager has moved into.
The company is a fulfilment partner for various mail-order companies, online booksellers and publishers, covering all facets of the e-commerce and mail-order business. “We chose this location to ensure optimal and modern order processing, as well as enable further growth together with our existing customers in the future,” explains Ina Woryna, Managing Director of VAH Jager. “With the new lease, we are now creating additional capacity and securing our long-term growth target.”
Key advantages of the location are its good transport links and proximity to the capital. The logistics park is located northwest of Berlin along the A 10 motorway, around 1.5 kilometres from the Oberkrämer junction. From there it is about 30 kilometres via the A 111 to the centre of Berlin. The site is connected to Hamburg via the Berliner Ring and the A 24, to Hanover via the A 2 and to Leipzig via the A 9.
As with all project developments, Garbe Industrial has also placed great emphasis on sustainability standards for the newly leased property in Oberkrämer. A photovoltaic system will be installed on the entire roof area to generate renewable energy. The company uses energy-efficient LEDs to light the hall. The certification of the property according to the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) has now been successfully completed.
