Garbe Industrial leases 100,000 square metres to Goodcang Logistics

Duisburg/Rieste/Hamburg, 15. April 2026 – Garbe Industrial has concluded lease agreements with the logistics service provider Goodcang Logistics for a total area of almost 100,000 square metres in Germany. Around 67,500 square metres of this are accounted for by Niedersachsenpark Rieste near Osnabrück and 30,500 square metres by a logistics property in the port of Duisburg. The tenant is expanding its network of locations in Germany and increasing its storage capacity for online retailers who sell their goods on e-commerce platforms.
“Especially in these challenging economic times, we are delighted with this double success. The hard work put in by our asset management team over the past few weeks has paid off,” emphasises Tom Herrschaft, Head of Real Estate Management at Garbe Industrial. Both the two locations and the quality of the properties were decisive for Goodcang Logistics. The e-commerce fulfillment company was founded in 2020 and handles the warehousing and distribution of goods on behalf of online retailers.
In Niedersachsenpark Rieste, the largest intermunicipal commercial and industrial area in Lower Saxony and located around 30 kilometres north of Osnabrück directly on the A1 motorway, the new tenant is moving into two properties, one of which has a total area of approximately 49,000 square metres while the other is around 18,500 square metres in size. Both properties were built in 2022 in accordance with current sustainability criteria and are certified to the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council. The lease was brokered by BNP Paribas Real Estate.
Garbe Industrial also manages another fully leased property in Niedersachsenpark Rieste with a total area of around 23,000 square metres. The tenants there include a logistics service provider and a manufacturer of photovoltaic mounting solutions.
The property in Duisburg that Goodcang Logistics is moving into was built in 2007 and is located on the Logport site in the Rheinhausen district, one of the most important logistics locations in Germany. The Duisburg Intermodal Terminal, which links water, road and rail transport, is just a few hundred metres away. Goodcang Logistics will use approximately 28,500 square metres of warehouse space, 1,500 square metres of office space and 500 square metres of mezzanine space in Duisburg. Realogis Immobilien Düsseldorf acted in an advisory capacity during the conclusion of the lease agreement.
