Paris, 21 April 2026 – GARBE Industrial Real Estate France (“GARBE Industrial”), one of the leading specialists for logistics and industrial real estate, has further expanded its portfolio in France by adding a brownfield site strategically located in Centre-Val de Loire region, south of the Paris metro area. Acquired in an off-market transaction, the former industrial site extends over 6.5 hectares and includes an existing building with around 30,000 square metres. The site benefits from excellent transport connections, including direct access to major national motorways, and thus offers optimal conditions for logistics and industrial use. The acquisition increases GARBE Industrial`s total number of properties under Management to nine.
The purchase was completed as part of the expanded investment strategy of GARBE Industrial, which places increased emphasis on brownfield sites with development potential. It is now planned to modernise the property, formerly home to a print shop, and to use it for logistics purposes. The goal is to create a sustainable asset that meets high environmental standards, takes aspects such as energy and space efficiency into account, and minimises its environmental impact.
“The acquisition is in line with the new revitalisation strategy of GARBE Industrial in France. It underscores our ambition to transform industrial legacy sites into assets of high environmental standards that anticipate the future requirements of logistics and industrial occupiers,” said Michael Vidamant, Managing Director of GARBE Industrial Real Estate France. This acquisition was made possible with the support of the Lasaygues notary office and the engineering firm Ecor Ingénierie.
The investment is part of the ongoing expansion of GARBE Industrial’s activities in France. It follows the company’s recent completion of a modern logistics centre in the town of Pléchâtel near Rennes. That project included around 25,800 square metres of lettable logistics space, supplemented by office units, on a plot of around 57,500 square metres along the Rennes-Nantes corridor in the western part of France. The site is well connected to several economic centres in the region. The project will be certified with BREEAM “Excellent” certification.
