Business park in Holzgerlingen near Stuttgart
Holzgerlingen/Hamburg, 29. April 2026 – Construction work on Garbe Industrial’s business park in Holzgerlingen, south of Stuttgart (Germany), is progressing rapidly. Six months after construction of the two properties began, the company celebrated the topping-out ceremony with representatives of the town, the companies involved in the construction and business partners. The new building in the “Buch” industrial estate is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2026.

The business park consists of two buildings of different sizes with a total area of around 16,600 square metres. Together, the two buildings will have a hall area of around 14,300 square metres. In addition, there will be around 560 square metres for offices and social rooms as well as approximately 1,700 square metres on intermediate levels – so-called mezzanine space – for the storage of goods, for example. The business park will be equipped with twelve dock levellers and seven sectional doors at ground level for loading and unloading lorries. Parking spaces for 124 cars will be created on the outside area.
“With the Garbe Industrial Park in Holzgerlingen, we are creating state-of-the-art settlement potential at an established industrial location that combines sustainable construction and flexible utilisation options,” emphasises Kathrin Fuhrmann, Regional Manager Southwest at Garbe Industrial. “The new building, developed according to the latest ecological standards and ESG criteria, is equally suitable for companies from the commercial, light industrial and production sectors.”
The hall area can be divided into units starting from approximately 1,300 square metres. The floor load-bearing capacity is six tonnes per square metre. Once completed, the business park will fulfil the BEG-40 energy efficiency standard and will not require the use of
fossil fuels. The buildings will be heated using air-to-air heat pumps. A photovoltaic system with a peak output of 1.2 megawatts will be installed on the roof to generate renewable energy. For the new building, Garbe Industrial is aiming for certification in accordance with the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council.
Garbe Industrial is completing the development of the 100,000-square-metre site with the third construction phase. The property company acquired the site, which was previously used by a plant manufacturer, in 2021. An existing building and a new building completed in 2023 have been leased.
Mayor Ioannis Delakos welcomes the fact that the area of the third construction phase is now also being renovated: “Garbe Industrial’s business park is key catalyst for the further development of the Buch industrial estate and will strengthen Holzgerlingen as a business hub.”
It is not yet clear which company will move in or whether there will be several tenants. “We are in further talks with interested parties and expect to be able to lease the Garbe Industrial Park in the near future, not least because of its excellent location,” says Kathrin Fuhrmann. Holzgerlingen is located to the south-west of Böblingen in the Stuttgart metropolitan region. The industrial estate is connected to the A8 motorway via the B464 and the A81. It connects the site to Karlsruhe to the west and Stuttgart Airport, Ulm and Munich to the east. There are public transport connections just a few hundred metres from the business park.
